Gnomeradio is a desktop FM radio tuner that is compatible with GNOME versions 1 and 2.
One of the most impressive features of Gnomeradio is its ability to record radio as a Wave or MP3 file. Users can easily record their favorite station and save it as a file to listen to later, which is incredibly convenient.
To use Gnomeradio, you need to have the following requirements: gtk+, gnome and sox (for recording), and lame, oggenc, bladenc (for ogg/mp3).
The latest release of Gnomeradio has some truly impressive new additions. GStreamer recording has been added, along with a new and improved recording status window. Additionally, the trayicon now has a context-menu, allowing users to interact with Gnomeradio in new, exciting ways.
Users who are familiar with the volume-widget known from totem and other GNOME apps will be pleased to learn that it is now used in Gnomeradio as well. Furthermore, Gnomeradio now scans for stations on the first run or if started with --scan, and it adds any detected stations to presets if desired.
Finally, it's worth noting that a new Tango-like icon has been added to this release. This gives Gnomeradio an even more polished, professional appearance that will undoubtedly appeal to users. All in all, Gnomeradio is a powerful, feature-packed radio tuner application that any GNOME user would be lucky to have.
