This software provides a custom theme for the GNOME desktop environment using GTK and Emerald, offering a unique visual experience.
To install Google-Gnome, simply right click on your desktop and select Change Desktop Background. Then, click on the first tab: Theme and drag and drop the theme's archive in the Appearance Preferences window. After that, if everything is OK, you will receive a confirmation message and the theme can be activated just by clicking on it.
About GNOME, this is an international effort to build a complete desktop environment entirely from free software, including software development frameworks, selecting application software for the desktop, and working on the programs which manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management. It is part of the GNU Project, and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux, and as part of Java Desktop System in Solaris.
The GNOME project puts heavy emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things "just work". With Google-Gnome, users can enjoy a fresh GTK and Emerald theme that matches their Google-chrome browser, and get a more polished look and feel in general.
