GRID Pro is a real-time video mixer and effects software that enables users to create dynamic and professional-looking video content easily. It offers a wide range of features such as real-time effects, layering, and customizable transitions to enhance video content in real-time.
With GRID Pro, you can apply transitions between movies such as wipe, iris, slide, and more, or manually control the mixer according to your preference. After the mixer, your video goes through the fx system where you can tweak more than 50 different fx plugins (and more are expected to come in the future betas and releases).
Another feature that sets GRID Pro apart is its drag-and-drop step sequencer that simplifies the process of putting together videos into a visual performance. But perhaps the most outstanding feature of GRID Pro is its automation system, that is simply mind-blowing. You can record gestures and loop them to control any parameter in the program. Whether you want to record automation live or use the built-in audio and video analysis, GRID Pro does it all. Even better, the gestures stay in sync with the music, even if the tempo changes.
If you are interested in live visuals, real time processing or expanded cinema, you should see what GRID Pro can do for you. And if you encounter any issue or would like to suggest a feature, the developers are open to hearing from you.
As for the limitations, demo versions of GRID Pro are fully functional for the first 15 minutes of use. And in terms of system requirements, you need a G4 800 MHz or faster (1.5 GHz G4/G5 or faster recommended), 256 MB of RAM (1 GB of RAM recommended), and Mac OS 10.3.2 or later, and QuickTime 6.5 or later. A screen resolution of 1280x854 or bigger is required, but a 1024x768 version is coming soon.
