GTK CSS engine is a package that allows configuring GTK themes using CSS instead of gtkrc syntax.
The installation of this package is quite simple and can be done in a few steps. Firstly, you need to change your directory to where the package source code is and execute the command './configure' to configure the package to your system. In case you are using 'csh' on an outdated version of System V, executing 'sh ./configure' might be necessary to prevent 'csh' from executing configure itself.
After running 'configure', it takes a while to execute, and while running, it prints messages related to the features it is checking. Once it is done, 'make' should be executed to compile the package, and if any self-tests come with the package, the optional step can be taken to run them by executing 'make check.'
To install the package programs, data files, and documentation, 'make install' should be executed. The program binaries and object files can be removed from the source code directory using 'make clean'. If it is necessary to remove the files that 'configure' created to compile the package for a different computer, 'make distclean' can be executed. Finally, the 'make maintainer-clean' target is intended mainly for the package's developers, and it may require getting other programs to regenerate files that came with the distribution.
