GtkLP is a user interface program designed for managing printing tasks in a CUPS system, particularly for users with administrative privileges.
With GtkLP, users can quickly and easily access all of the options that Cups provides, including the printer independent options, without the need to remember or even know their names. Additionally, there is a small queue available for Printeradmin, inspired by Novell's old LQV, that adds to the user's convenience.
Some key features of GtkLP include a beautiful Gtk-Interface with theme support, IPP support, printer specific options, all standard-cups options, different preferences-files for each printer, easy to build, gettext-support for different languages, and both X- and Console-Support.
To utilize GtkLP, users will need to ensure that they have Cups and Gtk2.2 installed. As a whole, GtkLP is a fantastic option for those who want a user-friendly frontend for Cups that doesn't compromise on features.
