"HDD Monitor dynamically displays all hard disk drives along with removable devices" - 11 words.
Although the software is still a work in progress, the developer assures a continuous release. They understand how upsetting it can be to wait for a new version of a program, so they're not making users wait too long. One of the new features in this release is the skins, which allows users to get rid of the "hdd meter" on the monitor's display.
Moreover, there are some rules to follow when creating skins such as the skin must consist of four files that are named accordingly. These files are top.png, bottom.png, hdd.png, and vumeter.png. Fortunately, the images can be of any size, and the only requirement is to create a skin.conf file with the x and y positions of the bar on the hdd.png.
The next release will focus on the configuration window, which has caused the developer problems in getting the whole theme in a .skz file. They will also work on cool new features requested by a friend of theirs, guaranteeing that HDD Monitor will rock soon enough. The software's graphics are based on the telemonitor by Shanachie. The developer is open to any feature requests; however, it will depend on their availability.
Overall, the software requires SuperKaramba to work correctly. The latest release includes a correction of some stupid things that the developer forgot to fix in the previous update.
