The Hero DVD player software provides superior-quality video and audio playback on your computer. With support for various file formats, it includes advanced features like crash disk correction, screen-capture, background playing, caption processing, and local-zoom.
The first feature that really impressed me was the Exclusive 2-channel Front/back Surrounding Technology. This technology provides a 6-channel sound experience by positioning general stereo sound boxes front/back, even if the original source was not encoded for 5.1 channel output. What's even better is the Soft Line-Connection technology which allows you to drag your mouse instead of moving sound boxes.
Another great feature is the SDTS Digital Surround Decoder that processes all kinds of non-SDTS digital audio. This allows you to enjoy all kinds of audio output combinations from 2-channel to 8-channel. Additionally, the SP/DIF Output Technology supports AC-3 decoded sound systems and is perfect for creating a fantastic home theater.
The player also has the ability to Remove Burr Completely and Support Field Format of DVD. It also boasts Excellent DVD Correcting Technology that allows it to play crash disks with the result being as good as double lasers. The caption edit capability is also quite useful, allowing you to drag captions to your favorite place and change their color.
In terms of video playback, the player supports High Coded and Image Qualified 422/444 Format Video, while general DVD players only support 420 formats MPEG2. It also supports stream transmitted MPEG2, while few players can support this format. Thanks to the Exclusive Direct DVDROM correcting Storage Technology, the player is able to ease laser wear and tear.
The player also has Independent DVD interface that supports no file DVD disks, along with a Bookmark Function that allows you to instantly mark your favorite scenes and jump to them. The Broken-point recording function is also handy, allowing you to set up broken points to watch what you are interested in and replay it automatically. Furthermore, the Local Zoom in feature lets you watch special effect scenes or unique details perfectly.
One cool feature is the Background playing mode, which makes watching DVD movies feel like experiencing artistic effects. Finally, the player offers Double Screen VGA Cards, which allows you to transmit your DVD movies from PC to TV if you have a VGA card with video output function. Overall, I had a great experience using this DVD player and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for one.
