Control Firefox window Title bar (Caption) to maximize screen space with this software. Enjoy a clutter-free workspace and gain more area for what matters.
The four modes are: Never, Smart Popups, Smart All, and Always. With "Never," no window will have a Caption, including popups. However, you will still get custom borders for each window for easy dragging. "Smart Popups" is another option, which keeps Firefox main windows hidden, but popups are detected and will have a standard caption and border.
"Smart All" is another great option that keeps maxed-out Firefox windows with a hidden caption, while restored windows will have a standard caption. Popups will always have a caption. Finally, "Always" is the Firefox default option, making all windows have a standard caption.
The add-on also offers dual/multiple monitor support, allowing you to maximize Firefox on any screen in a multi-screen configuration. This feature also adds great support for maximizing Firefox in the proper position around various OS's taskbars and sidebars. There are several configurable options and buttons for dragging non-maximized windows.
The add-on is compatible with all utility add-ons that have been tested so far, such as Tab Mix Plus and Tab Kit. Furthermore, to get the best of Chrome Browser layout in Firefox, I would recommend using the complementary add-on called "Tabs on top," which is from the same author.
There's more information available in the README file, which can be accessed either locally or online from the options dialog. Overall, I would highly recommend giving this add-on a try if you're looking for more control over your Firefox windows.
