Political frogger-like arcade game.
Version: 1.1House Divided is a fast-paced arcade game with infinite levels and variable difficulty.
Operating System: Mac OS X
The player must pass their contentious legislation across the Senate without being trampled by the minor parties. Fun for the young, the old, and the bitter-at-heart.
The goal is to get your controversial Bills across the Senate. You score by delivering legislation intact to the top of the screen. The minor parties will attempt to disrupt you. House Divided is broadly reminiscent of the classic ‘Frogger’. The Bills waiting to be passed are arrayed at the bottom of the screen. You control the first (centremost) in the queue.
If the Senators succeed in trampling your legislation, it is returned to the Reps and goes to the end of the queue. If any legislation is rejected by the Senate twice, it is lost for that Term (level), depriving you of a scoring opportunity. (In reality, this would allow you to call a Double Dissolution... and lose.)
The Budget is a crucial Bill. If it is rejected twice, you lose and the game is over.
As you move through the levels, the Senators become more animate and erratic.
