HTMLSqueeze is a command line tool that compresses and optimizes web pages. It can be used in conjunction with ASP to pass URLs and parameters, making it an effective tool for local intranet web development.
With HTMLSqueeze, I was able to pass URLs into the tool with compression parameters for optimal optimization. I found that when adding calls for each page in my web site to a batch file, HTMLSqueeze's true power was revealed.
This utility isn't just about compressing HTML files or removing white space. You can also generate HTML files from dynamic sources, such as ASP or PHP. The versatility of this software is simply outstanding.
One of the features I appreciated most was the ability to accept URLs as well as files. Additionally, I was able to specify just carriage return and tab character removal, no compression, or full compression. The capability to check for updates via the user-friendly Windows interface was also a nice touch.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with HTMLSqueeze and would recommend it to any web developer looking for a powerful command line utility to optimize their web pages.
