HTTP Scoop is a Mac OS X software that functions as an HTTP sniffer, allowing users to identify, monitor, and analyze all HTTP traffic happening on a device.
One of the key features of HTTP Scoop is the ability to view responses as hex, text (with syntax highlighting for XML/HTML), or as images. No proxy is required, so any browser or server technology is supported. Additionally, HTTP Scoop can view headers, parameters, and POST data and save responses to disk. It fully decodes HTTP, handling GZIP compression, request pipelining, and more.
However, there is a 14-day trial period restriction on this remarkable software.
Updates have been made in this latest release, including HTTP performance analysis, round-trip times are now captured and displayed in both the main window and the HTTP Request Detail view. With quicker navigation using shortcuts, moving between requests is now faster, allowing comparing the differences between requests to be done quickly. HTTP Scoop is now faster, less memory intensive, and more stable, with bug fixes that used to cause crashes, especially under high loads. It's updated with Sparkle library making upgrades even easier, just with the click of a button.
