IBGS is a server for board games that can be accessed through the internet.
One of the major highlights of this server is that it presents players with a range of statistical information about their current position when they analyze a game. However, players are required to first fill the database with games. To simplify this task, users can use the pgn2db tool to convert pgn files. Then, they can simply log into the server and type "examine" to start analyzing their game.
To use the IBGS project, there are certain requirements to be fulfilled. These include having OCaml, PCRE-Ocaml, xstrp4, findlib, lablgtk2, Chessfonts, Postgresql, postgres for ocaml, and ocaml-sqlite.
This release of the IBGS project has a lot of new features and fixes many bugs. It includes the integration of game databases, a new SQL backend, and a pgn2db converter. The IBGS Client has also been improved to include a clock, and a range of new ICS commands such as draw, history, moves, finger, set fingernotes, setrating, norminator, asetpassword, setadminlevel, recalculate_rating, and debug. Certain commands are restricted to administrators and are marked with an asterisk. There have been numerous small improvements too.
Overall, the IBGS project is an excellent choice for board game enthusiasts as it offers exceptional functionality and features to analyze and store games.
