iCam2 is a webcam software that supports X11 and the console.
After playing around with the webcam application shipped with the xawtv package, I decided to create my own. iCam2 is the result of that effort. The primary goals of this software are to provide an extensible, flexible, and quality webcam application, and to allow the app to run with an X11-preview interface. I originally used a three-window interface, but it was too cumbersome, so I simplified the setup to use just one window that displays a real-time image from your camera after all applicable post-processing.
Another crucial component of iCam2 is the dynamic interface to plugins and filters. These features enable you to customize your webcam experience to suit your specific needs and preferences. If you're interested in exploring filters, you might want to check out SDLcam, which is a plugin that I think is particularly cool.
Overall, I believe that iCam2 is a powerful and user-friendly webcam application that offers a lot of flexibility and customization options. Whether you're a casual user or a professional, I think you'll find that iCam2 meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.
