Intelligent Windows software allows users to record the location and size of application windows through customized buttons. This simplifies window management and improves productivity.
When you set a window sizing button, a small proportional image of your window is drawn on the button, making it easy to identify. You even have the option of selecting the color of the button, making it simple to group buttons by different applications or purposes. Additionally, using drag and drop, you can move the buttons around to group them any way you want.
If you hold down the Option key while moving the cursor onto a button, you'll see a small tooltip that displays the name of the application the sizing button applies to. This feature is incredibly helpful in keeping track of everything on your desktop.
Using the basic Application Menu for windows, you can set the button, choose a button color, clear the button, or lock your settings. When accessing a Finder window, you have access to the Finder Menu, where you can select Toolbar, View, and Sort column settings. By selecting the Application Item alone, you can bring the application to the front or launch it if it is not running.
You also have the option to clear a button, resetting it to "Unused" with no settings and a gray button. Locking your settings is another helpful feature, preventing you from accidentally recording a button, and presenting an Override Warning if you attempt to change settings.
There are a few limitations to this software, including a 15-day trial. However, there are also plenty of exciting new features in the most recent release, such as a code overhaul for Tiger, a Quick Guide, and a revamped menu bar. Overall, if you're looking for a simple and effective way to improve your window management, Window Sizing is definitely worth a look.
