iPod Updater 2005-09-23 adds iPod Software 1.1.2 to support iPod shuffle.
The update addresses some bug fixes for the iPod shuffle. The software requirements vary depending on the model of your iPod. For the iPod nano, you will need a Macintosh or Windows PC with a USB port, with USB 2.0 recommended. You must have Mac OS X 10.3.4 or later, or Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later. Additionally, you must have iTunes 4.9 or later installed. For those who own a Macintosh, iPhoto 4.0.3 or later is recommended, while Windows PC users should install Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 or Elements 3.0 or later.
The iPod shuffle requirements are similar to the iPod nano, except that Mac users can have Mac OS X 10.2.8 while Windows users need only Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or Windows XP Service Pack 2. Moreover, you will need iTunes 4.7.1 or later and QuickTime 6.4 or later. You might also require the optional iPod shuffle Dock or a USB extender cable, both of which are sold separately.
For the iPod and iPod mini, you will require a Macintosh or Windows PC with a Firewire or USB port, with USB 2.0 recommended. You will need Mac OS X v10.2.8 or 10.3.4 or later for iPod, iPod mini, or iPod photo, and Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or Windows XP Service Pack 2. Additionally, you should have iTunes 4.7 or later installed. If you own an iPod with a color display, you must have iPhoto 4.0.3 or later installed for Macintosh, and Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 or Elements 3.0 or later for Windows. Note that Mac OS X 10.3 - 10.3.3 is not supported with USB for these models.
