SpaceMon is a handy tool that enables users to monitor their network storage space and receive alerts either from their current network monitoring package or via email notifications when a specified amount of free space is depleted.
To use SpaceMon, simply type in the resources you want to monitor, such as drive letters or UNC paths, and the level of free space that triggers an alert. Once set up, if any of the resources dips below the alert level you set, you will be notified visually, audibly, and by email.
With SpaceMon, you can finally get some well-deserved sleep and reduce the risk of server crashes or data loss due to a lack of hard drive space. SpaceMon works well with a variety of network monitoring tools, such as What's Up Gold and Servers Alive, making it a flexible option for network administrators.
