Software designed for scientific image processing and analysis of complex data.
One of the standout features of IRIS is its ability to include support for virtually any data format without needing to recompile the program. The IRIS system comes in three component-applications, each with its own unique suite of tools.
First, the IRIS-integrator (IrIn) acts as the system shell, command center, and data flows control while offering users access to a built-in macrolanguage Bastis and a kit of standard image processing procedures. Second, WisA provides users with image visualization and operative analysis tools. Finally, HeadEdit serves as a tool for viewing and editing accompanying information such as FITS and SBIG headlines, working with data files formats, and keeping track of system journals.
Overall, the IRIS system is a powerful and versatile tool for researchers looking to process and analyze large quantities of image-based research data.
