"This software controls several equipment via serial port from a PC or terminal." (14 words)
Although more and more devices are now equipped with USB interfaces instead of parallel or consecutive connections, there are still no remote control solutions available for USB devices. Some people might think that such solutions are unnecessary or not applicable in real life. However, we beg to differ and offer some examples to challenge this opinion.
Let's assume you have purchased software that is protected by a USB HASP KEY, and you want to use this product on several computers at different times. If the computers are located nearby to each other, then it is easy enough to physically transfer the USB HASP KEY from one computer to another.
The problem arises when the computers are located in different offices, or even in different cities (such as two sub-units within the same firm). In this case, purchasing an additional license for the product can be costly, sometimes as much as thousands of dollars.
Our product solves this problem, allowing you to comply with the license agreement by limiting the product to work simultaneously on only one computer. The same applies to purchasing various USB equipment in several copies. Our product enables you to use a single copy through the TCP/IP network, even if the equipment is located far away.
