iTunesMouseRemote lets you use your mouse as a remote to control iTunes. It's a simple tool that makes navigating your music library more convenient.
To play or pause your music, simply click the middle button of your mouse or the scroll wheel. If you want to skip to the next track, click the right button. On the other hand, clicking the left button will take you back to the previous track. Additionally, scrolling up and down on your mouse wheel will also adjust the volume.
In order to run iTunesMouseRemote smoothly, you just need a mouse with at least three buttons and iTunes 4 or later. However, there are known issues with the software, such as minimal multiple monitor support and no support for more than three buttons. Moreover, iTunesMouseRemote does not have a volume display in overlay. But these flaws do not affect the basic functionality of the app.
When you need to uninstall iTunesMouseRemote, it's easy to do. Simply run the installer again and select "Uninstall." It's that simple. In case you don't have the installer, you can download it again and uninstall it even if the newer version is already on the site. But if you'd like to manually uninstall iTunesMouseRemote, just delete the /Library/iTunes/Scripts/iTunesMouseRemote.app file and the /Library/iTunes/Scripts/iTMRProxy.scpt file. This way, you can ensure that there are no traces left behind.
