JabberFoX is a Jabber chat system client software.
JabberFoX's developers hope to incorporate all features of the Jabber protocol in the long term, including browsing, strong encryption, and the latest conferencing protocol. It is currently maintained by a small group of volunteers devoted to the development of the software.
The software release comes with a range of new updates. Firstly, the software is localized in Spanish. Secondly, URLs in incoming messages are now clickable like in web browsers. Thirdly, the roster, user chat, and group chat can have transparent backgrounds. Fourthly, Roster contacts with only one resource cannot be expanded anymore to reduce clutter. Fifthly, a menu item is added to show/hide offline roster items. Sixthly, GroupChat has additional features such as tab-completion of nicknames and highlighting capabilities via color, sound, or speech.
JabberFoX has also added support for the new "invisible" mode, which only works on Jabber servers >= 1.4.2. Additionally, the update includes several minor improvements and bug fixes, including a range of squashed bugs and the introduction of new ones. The software is an excellent choice for Mac OS X users, and the latest release has further enhanced its usability and features.
