JabberTools simplifies the process of adopting and utilizing Jabber with its collection of tools.
To execute the JabberTools Account Manager via the command line, follow the promptings displayed on the screen after running the command /account_manager.pl or /perl account_manager.pl. You can create a new account, delete your existing account from the server and change your Jabber password.
To install the Account Manager as a script for others to use on your web server, copy or move account_manager/www/account_manager-www.pl to your server's top-level cgi-script directory, make the file executable (chmod 755 account_manager-www.pl), and copy, link, or move common/jabbertools-common.pl to the top level of your server's cgi-script directory. Further, copy, link, or move account_manager/www/top_html-am.inc and bot_html-am.inc to the top level of your server's cgi-script directory. If it suits your needs, modify top_html-am.inc and bot_html-am.inc to tailor the account manager's layout accordingly.
This release has some exciting updates, such as the Importer, which can import data from several new programs, Direct XML IQ imports, additional stability while importing ICQ2000 data, and fixing several timeout issues with the web-based interface. The Account Manager has now been equipped with intelligent command-line prompting and can efficiently perform account-related tasks such as creating new accounts, deleting existing accounts, and changing passwords in both command-line and web-based interfaces.
