JColorGrid is a tool that helps visualize data.
One of the key benefits of JColorGrid is its ease of use and general utility. You can input data using a spreadsheet file (.xls) or a tab-delimited text file, and specify titles, row and column headings, data and scale titles in the input file. JColorGrid can handle both numerical and text data and has no limit on the number of rows and columns.
Configuring the output color-grid is effortless with the JColorGrid configuration menu. You can specify display colors for the data range as well as set exceptions for data that require special handling. Additionally, you can specify the gradiant of the color scale. JColorGrid has plenty of flexible color options that users are encouraged to explore.
JColorGrid exports to both JPEG and EPS, allowing you to make further modifications to the color-grid output in a suitable graphics editor. To run this application, you need Java 1.4 or higher.
The software developers have fixed the GUI issue with the first exception color specified in the latest release, ensuring that it is not skipped if an earlier color in the default color list was already assigned to the color-scale.
