An open source software that combines the functionality of Protege and Jess for enhanced performance.
One of the best features of JessTab is the Jess console window that allows you to interact with Jess while running Protege. This means that you can develop programs that manage Protege knowledge bases directly and write rules that fire on patterns in the knowledge base.
But that's not all. JessTab also extends Jess with additional functions that enable you to map Protege knowledge bases to Jess facts, as well as manipulate Protege knowledge bases from Jess. This plugin truly allows you to take full control over your knowledge base.
Another notable feature is that you can use JessTab as an object-oriented extension to Jess by defining Protege classes and instantiating them. Protege has explicit metaclasses, so you can map them to facts and perform pattern matching on properties of classes.
It's also important to note that JessTab is licensed and distributed under the terms of the Mozilla Public License 1.1 (MPL 1.1). This makes it a reliable and trustworthy plugin to add to your toolkit.
