Jeta is a module within the Horde platform that facilitates logging into a web server via a Java SSH interface.
Jeta H3 makes it convenient for you to access your web server, as it offers a nice terminal emulator right from your web browser. But it is important to note that the applet is susceptible to man-in-the-middle attacks. Unfortunately, the RSA-based host authorization cannot be used since the applet is downloaded from a remote host, and it might be modified by the man-in-the-middle. Therefore, the only way to guard against applet modification is by having it signed with a trust certificate, but it is too expensive in time, money, and development costs to be practical.
This applet provides good security through encryption to prevent normal packet sniffing, which prevents the most common and easiest security attacks. However, it cannot prevent more complex security attacks like man-in-the-middle attacks. This version should run with all runtime environments that are at least Java 1.1.x compatible. If you are working with an older Java runtime environment, please upgrade to a newer version.
Jeta H3 requires a web server running Horde and a web browser with support for at least Java 1.1. This stable version offers a secure and easy way to log into your web server from anywhere, anytime.
