A 2D platformer game, inspired by Metroid and Castlevania, which creates levels using procedural generation.

The Jetblade project is divided into three broad categories:
* Large-scale procedural map generation: This involves the creation of a selection of tunnels, their interconnections, different types of regions, generalized accessibility, and the creation of specific roadblocks to add meaning to exploration.
* Small-scale procedural map generation: This involves the definition of what a region of the map is like and the creation of interesting features at the scale of an individual tunnel or room.
* Platforming gameplay: Developers implement 2D physics and introduce abilities to the player, and create new creatures for the player to encounter and potentially battle in the game.
