JSwat is a stand-alone, graphical Java debugger that utilizes the JPDA library.
This Java debugger boasts several unique features, including colorized source code display, breakpoint conditionals with monitors, graphical display panels that depict threads, and more. The debugger itself also comes complete with a command interface, allowing for more advanced and customizable features.
To run the latest version of JSwat, you will need to have the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 or a later version installed on your computer. For version 2.x, JDK 1.4 or a later version will suffice, while for 1.x, JDK 1.2 or higher is required.
In the newest release of JSwat, there are a few notable improvements. For instance, the class loader ID is now shown in addition to its name; line numbers are now visible near the beginning of lines. Also, instead of text fields for error messages in dialogs, a label is now featured. Another important improvement is that packages will now be sorted before classes when creating views, and NPEs are avoided in the runtime clone method.
All in all, JSwat is an excellent Java debugger that comes with a plethora of tools and features, making it a must-have for any serious Java developer.
