Jupe is an Eclipse plugin that supports Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Despite this, Jupe offers a variety of features for users. For instance, it provides a Jupe perspective that offers a class diagram editor. You can create UML diagrams with the mouse, and items can be changed simply by clicking on them or using a property table. What's more, Jupe allows you to create UML diagrams based on your source code with its reverse engineering capabilities. You can also load and save diagrams and export them to XMI.
Keep in mind that Jupe has specific requirements for installation. You'll need Eclipse, EMF (Eclipse Modeling Framework), GEF (Graphical Editing Framework), and UML2 1.1.1. Additionally, make sure you're using the appropriate version of UML2, as newer versions may not work with Jupe.
If you're ready to install Jupe, simply unzip org.jupe.*.zip into your Eclipse directory. The latest release supports Eclipse 3.2 and introduces early stages of Java code generation from UML diagrams. It also includes numerous bug fixes, GUI enhancements, and small new features. Overall, Jupe can be a useful UML plugin for those who need to create diagrams and export code for their Eclipse projects.
