JWeather displays a 10-day forecast and a radar image based on the user's zipcode, with an added feature of showing temperature on the system tray icon, similar to Weather Bug.
JWeather hides in the system tray, making it less bothersome for users who choose to start it automatically at system startup. To access its window, you have to double-click or right-click the icon, and the program reloads its weather information every 60 seconds from weather.com. If the temperature is over 70 F, the system tray icon changes color to red, and if it's under 70 F, it turns blue. The color gets darker as the temperature gets closer to 70 F. If the temperature is 70 F, the system tray icon is black.
In the 10-day forecast, holding your cursor over an image gives you information on the chance of precipitation. Additionally, it allows the user to change the map using a pull-down menu, which is a convenient way to keep track of regional weather. With all these functionalities, JWeather is an ultimate go-to software for weather updates.
