K-Snap software enables users to create, learn, and print personal Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji cards for studying and playing.
The study component of K-Snap is particularly useful as it provides you with stroke order diagrams for all Kana and Kanji. This feature can be incredibly helpful for those who are just starting to study Japanese and need to get a handle on the basics before progressing further.
Another feature that stands out in K-Snap is its ability to help you remember what you have learned through its play options. K-Snap and KandTiles provide a fun and interactive way to practice what you have studied, making it more likely that the information will stick.
In addition to its study and play features, K-Snap also includes PrintShop, which allows you to easily print your own double-sided Japanese flashcards. Simply select which characters you want to print and choose how many flashcards you want to print on a sheet of paper, and you're good to go.
One thing to note is that the initial release of K-Snap only includes JLPT level 4 Kanji. However, the software will add JLPT level 3 Kanji in December 2007, and more updates will be added in early 2008. These updates will be free for registered users.
To use K-Snap, you'll need to have the Adobe AIR runtime installed on your computer. Additionally, the demo version of the software is fully functional but only includes Hiragana.
Overall, K-Snap is an excellent tool for anyone looking to study Japanese, and its range of features makes it a must-have for language learners at any level.
