Amarok Control Profile is a bluetooth Remote-Profile that works with Sony Ericsson K750i, W800, and D750 phones. It enables users to control music on their phones remotely.
Previously, the phone had three built-in profiles for Windows Media Player and PowerPoint. However, these profiles were already in use in Linux systems. With the Amarok Control Profile, users can enjoy a brand new, custom profile with uniquely edited pictures and keycodes that are "free" in KDE.
Installation of this software is very simple. All that is required is to upload the .hid file using a Bluetooth obex push client to your mobile phone and connect it. For those who have already defined a global hotkey in Amarok, simply set the remote keys to "alternate".
The software is not limited to just Amarok however; it also works with other media players. To use it with other media players, one simply needs to define the global keys accordingly. Overall, the Amarok Control Profile is a must-have for anyone looking for an easy and effective way to control their media player remotely.
