Kate OS Live is a CD version of Kate OS 3.0 Beta that is designed to operate on a live module format.
Among the most significant features of KateOS 3.6 is the software-driven system hibernation, a GUI installer, which is included in the LIVE edition of the software. There is also an improved version of update-notifier, as well as new start-up scripts that are now accessible via the service command. The better support for HP printers, via hplip, is an additional advantage.
