KBBTray is a KDE software that tracks a Big Brother page and displays its status on the task bar tray. It serves as a monitoring tool for this specific page.
To install the required libraries, run "sh install.sh" as root. However, the current installation method needs an upgrade. After installation, you can run the application as any user by typing "/usr/local/bin/kbbtray.py" in your terminal.
If "/usr/local/bin" is already in the path of your system, you can simply type "kbbtray.py" to run the program.
One of the recent updates in this version is the replacement of animated MNG files with PNG files. This is due to a memory leak issue located somewhere in PyQt, QMovie, and libmng. Overall, KBBTray is an excellent software that makes it easy to monitor the Big Brother page with the necessary libraries installed.
