KDE's BlogLines ticker is a minimalistic program that runs in the system tray and performs routine checks on a BlogLines account.
One of the features that I personally appreciate is the variety of notification methods that the application offers. Users can choose to be notified through a sound, a pop-up balloon or a tray icon change. Furthermore, the tray icon will remain highlighted until users click on it. Once clicked, a konqueror window will open with the updated URL and flag will be dropped. Users can turn off other notifications if they prefer not to be disturbed.
This updated version of the application comes with enhanced features including the replacement of its own icons with BlogLines's icons. Additionally, User-Agent identification has been added which adds to its overall usefulness. Overall, I highly recommend this software to anyone who wants to stay up-to-date with their BlogLines account.
