KisKis, a JAVA-based software, helps manage passwords efficiently with its user-friendly interface.
This password manager allows for grouping of accounts hierarchically within a tree structure. Users also have the freedom to describe each account using multiple attributes like user names, URLs, and comments. KisKis tracks the history of each password change, and users can define their own account templates. The software also supports addition of multiple file-attachments to each account.
All passwords are securely stored in an XML-file and encrypted using a single "master-password." The encryption algorithm used adheres to the OpenPGP standard, which can be verified with GPG or PGP. New passwords can be generated automatically using either a secure approach where passwords are completely randomized or a more readable approach.
To run KisKis, users need to have Java 1.4.2 or later installed. In its latest release, the software now checks password quality with cracklib. With its many features, KisKis is an excellent choice for anyone who needs to manage multiple passwords and keep them safe.
