Kickoff-Qt for Slackware is a menu solution that resembles SuSe's kickoff, designed to function in Slackware. It helps users navigate the system more efficiently by providing a user-friendly interface.
This software has been thoroughly tested on a fresh installation of genuine Slackware current with Xorg 7.1. To use Kickoff-Qt, you must install liblazy, which can be downloaded from the link provided.
Credit for assistance with this project goes to SFLACK / WWW.SFLACK.COM for their help with our first steps. It is important to note that this version is considered highly experimental, and as such, we cannot be held responsible if it damages your installation.
If you encounter any issues, simply uninstall the Kickoff-Qt package and reinstall the original Slackware kdebase package. The only requirement for Kickoff-Qt is KDE 3.5.x.
In this release, we have compiled the software from scratch and upgraded it to kdebase 3.5.7. We have also tested it on Slackware-12.0/Slax6RC6/LMO-Live-0.2rc1. Overall, if you're looking to customize your Slackware experience, Kickoff-Qt is definitely worth considering.
