KickPIM is a convenient applet that can be added to the KDE Kicker panel to quickly access addresses stored in the KDE address book.
The latest release of KickPIM comes with several new features and improvements. When it comes to emailing, MBox support has been added to make it easier to manage your emails. Mail notifications have been improved, and sending emails from the contact card view now adds the name of the contact to the mail address.
Another improvement in this release is the ability to start KOrganizer via the settings menu, just like KAddressbook. The read-only reminder settings have been fixed, and the age displayed at year-change has been fixed as well thanks to a patch from Harald Kümmerle.
Other changes in this release include fixing the title of the 'new contact' dialog and optimizing the positioning of the right-click menu for panels at the top border. The display in transparent kicker panel for KDE 3.2 has also been fixed thanks to a patch from Oliver Bausinger.
Overall, KickPIM is a robust and useful software tool for KDE users that makes managing contacts and emails a breeze.
