This software offers a sleek and modern theme for the GNOME desktop environment, giving your device a stylish and polished look.
For optimal results, we recommend setting the panel height to 30 pixels and using the Human icon theme in conjunction with Kioo.
The developer behind Kioo created this theme with the goal of fitting into the brown/orange color scheme found in Ubuntu releases. Kioo has even been submitted to the Artwork page for Ubuntu Lucid Lynx in hopes of being considered for inclusion into the official Ubuntu distribution.
Installation of Kioo is hassle-free and can be achieved with just a few simple steps. Users should simply right-click on their desktop and select Change Desktop Background, then click on the Theme tab and drag and drop the theme's archive into the Appearance Preferences window. Once everything is confirmed as working properly, the theme can be activated with a simple click.
For those unfamiliar with GNOME, it is an international project aimed at building a complete desktop environment using free software. This includes software development frameworks, application software for the desktop, and programs that manage application launching, file handling, and window/task management. GNOME is part of the GNU Project and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux, as well as the Java Desktop System in Solaris. The GNOME project is known for its emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things "just work."
