KPDF is a KDE-based PDF viewer that utilizes xpdf.
The Find dialog is the most conventional method of searching, whereby you type in the word or phrase you are searching for. The Thumbnail Filter, on the other hand, displays thumbnails of the pages containing the text typed above the thumbnail list while the user is searching. Finally, with the Type-ahead Find feature, users can begin their search by typing’/’ followed by the text, and KPDF will conduct an incremental search for the words or phrases.
The KPDF project has several other features that make it an outstanding software. For instance, it comes with Google-like search on thumbnails, cursor wrapping over a screen for continuous scrolling, shortcut for toggling the left panel, support for images with alpha channels, saving of zoom settings on exit, among others.
This latest release of KPDF boasts of other exciting features. The software can now put fonts used by the document on the properties dialogue, partially implement links with viewport, use KDE wallet for password storage, as well as having various performance enhancements and bug fixes. The program also fixed one, possibly two crashes.
Overall, KPDF is an incredible pdf viewer software that offers an excellent experience, and you can be sure that the developers are continuously working to improve its features.
