Kpl is a software that enables users to present data sets and functions graphically in both two and three dimensions.
One of the striking features of Kpl is its ability to perform nonlinear parameter fits of functions to data sets using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. Additionally, the software also facilitates general linear least square parameter fits. The library is designed with a DCOP interface for easy control by other applications and scripts.
Kpl makes it easy to save all the necessary settings required for a complete description of the presentation in plot files. You can choose both data files and plot files by using command-line parameters, the File menu, or drag and drop features. The automatic scaling and normalization features make graphical presentations of data effortless, whereas parameter fits can be performed automatically.
If you need to make changes in any presentation, Kpl offers an Edit menu to cater to all your requirements. You can add additional data sets and functions that can be displayed in the same window.
Currently, Kpl supports English and German, and the software is freely available to download under the GNU General Public License. In the latest release, you will find that multiple spline items can be fitted simultaneously to the same array item. Colored symbol pixmaps are also displayed in the item list, and the text of the legend and text items is displayed in the item list, further enhancing the user experience.
