KReversi is a board game software that offers reversi gameplay on the KDE platform.
The game starts by loading directly into the play mode, allowing players to begin the game immediately. As the first player, the human player has the right to move first. Each move requires the player's piece to hop over the enemy's piece. The player's piece does not relocate after the move; instead, a new piece is placed on the board in the position where the original piece would have landed after the jump.
Whenever a player's piece jumps over an opposing player's piece, the captured piece is turned over to reveal the color of that player. This means the stones change colors when captured. Players can jump their pieces vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. If there is nowhere to jump, the turn is automatically skipped.
The game continues until one player has more pieces of their own color on the board, and there are no more possible moves for either player. The winner is declared as the player who managed to conquer the most of the game board with their pieces. Overall, KReversi offers a simple yet satisfyingly strategic experience, perfect for fans of board games.
