KSalomon is a Linux-based vocabulary trainer designed for use with Kde 3. It is a new software tool for boosting your word power.
The software has a unique feature where it moves words that are answered correctly in the first attempt into a higher folder. That means users are prompted less often for those words. The number of folders and how long vocabulary remains locked is configurable, and incorrectly answered words move back down.
KSalomon is a versatile software with a multitude of features such as the ability to add synonyms and record or play sounds for each word. Users can also add pictures and use LaTeX support for mathematical expressions, among other customizable features such as fonts, color-coding of parts of speech, and custom key combinations. The software supports the kvtml file format.
However, KSalomon has some limitations, such as no printing support, incomplete documentation, and learning mode.
In the latest release, the software focuses on bug fixing while adding hints for documentation purposes. Overall, KSalomon is a robust and highly configurable vocabulary trainer that can make learning new languages enjoyable and easy.
