KSystemLog is a viewer for system logs, designed specifically for use with KDE 3.3.x.
Some of the key features of KSystemLog include the ability to view all the primary logs of a system by selecting them from the menu directly. Additionally, the software automatically displays any new lines logged in bold. The software comes with a tabbed view, making it easier for users to display multiple logs simultaneously. The software also allows for the saving of log lines in a file and copying them directly to the clipboard.
KSystemLog can parse several log files of a system, including X.org (or Xfree) logs, system logs using the Syslog parser, kernel logs, daemon logs, cron logs, boot logs, authentication logs, ACPID logs, and cups logs.
This release of KSystemLog comes with several improvements and new features. These include compatibility with KDE 4 beta4, fixing of icon position in search bar, adding test coverage for kernel logs, support for Suse kernel logs, adding joker to file list in configuration, and auto-recognition of opened files. Overall, KSystemLog is an excellent software that provides an easy and efficient way to view and manage system logs. The software is highly recommended for both novice and advanced users.
