kVLC is a software tool that operates VLC through its HTTP interface, requiring the interface to be active.
One of the best features of kVLC is that it lets you control VLC on a local computer, without having to quit fullscreen mode. Additionally, you can also control VLC on a remote computer. kVLC offers most of VLC's functionality, including play, pause, stop, seek, volume control, and playlist control. However, you cannot manipulate the playlist as of yet.
To improve the user experience, kVLC has a standby mode that you can activate by pressing the white triangle icon. This feature is especially useful if VLC isn't running.
The only requirement for using kVLC is that you need to have VLC version 0.85 or later. Overall, kVLC is a useful and practical software that will enhance your experience with VLC.
