KwickDo simplifies event and todo creation by providing pre-made templates, making the process faster and more efficient.
For instance, if you always set your meeting to start at 10:00, last for an hour and require a reminder 15 minutes prior to the start, you can set this as a template and type in #meeting# Meet with Bob to have the software create the event accordingly. It is worth noting that KwickDo is compatible with any iCal compatible organizer, such as Korganizer.
The software is currently in its Alpha version and many hard-coded features should be configurable with no internationalization yet. For its proper functioning, KwickDo requires Qt4, KDE4 and libkdepim4 (+headers). KwickDo includes KDevelop files, which makes it easy for you to have it running if you use KDevelop. Minimally, KwickDo requires KtE4.x to run.
In this release, KwickDo brings in a tray icon that keeps it always at hand, leading to clutter in your Tray bar. The event list feature now works with Template detection, and event deletion is enabled too, with Edit feature on the way. With these new features, KwickDo has now started to become more usable. The Tray Icon may change in the future to fit better with the software’s overall design. In conclusion, KwickDo software is the perfect solution for anyone looking to simplify creating events and tasks using templates.
