Lap Timer 2000

LapTimer 2000 is an MS Windows program designed to accurately count and time laps on any scale slot car track with 1/1000 second accuracy. It includes several hardware interfaces like the Joystick Game Pad, Parallel Printer Port, Keyboard, and RS-232 Serial Communications Port allowing for easy connection.

This lap timer can work with slot car tracks of up to four lanes, recording up to 4096 laps per lane in a single race or practice session. The large 90 point font makes it easy to view the current lap time displayed for each lane from afar, updating each time a slot car passes over the lap counter track.

You can run races for a specified length of time or until a preset number of laps have been completed. Upon completion, the software creates a race summary file including the number of laps completed and individual lap times for each competitor.

Detailed instructions are provided in the Help file on how to build the necessary lap counter interface cable, but you can purchase a ready-made interface cable if you prefer. Lap Timer 2000 also includes a Hot Laps database to store race results and practice session times. You can record modification notes and their effects, and the data can be sorted by a variety of criteria, making it ideal for tracking modifications and their resulting lap times.

The software also comes with facilities to export race log files in the Full Grid Online Racing Series format, making sharing and analyzing race data easier. The Lap Timer 2000 supports various screen resolutions like 640x480, 800x600, 1024x786, 1152x864, and 1280x1024, ensuring compatibility with different devices.
