Lapsus is software designed to assist in managing additional features on Asus laptops. It is a collection of programs aimed to improve the user experience of these devices.
The Lapsus project includes a daemon program that monitors ACPI events, reads and writes /sys/ files created by asus-laptop module, and runs commands that need privileged access. You can control the daemon over DBus using the client program, or any other program that has support for it. Plus, it can also be customized for this purpose. Additionally, the client program is a KDE Panel Applet, but a standalone client is planned in the future.
This software provides easy access to the daemon's functions, and in the future, it will also offer additional features such as ACPI hotkeys bindings or power status monitoring. To use Lapsus, you need Qt version 3.3 or higher. Overall, Lapsus is an impressive set of programs that can maximize the use of Asus laptops' additional features.
