For further information on how to use LastamaroK, you can check out the Readme file. The software is based on the lastFMProxy by Vidar Madesn. To use LastamaroK, the requirements include amaroK, python, and Tkinter.
Using LastamaroK is straightforward. Firstly, users need to enter their last.fm username and password in the amaroK configuration window (Settings > Configure amaroK... > Last.fm). Next, run the lastamarok script (Tools > Script Manager > lastamarok > Run).
To choose your station, click on the Configure button. URLs can be found on the radio page, and you can copy them by clicking right > copy link location, and then pasting them in the configure form. Once done, click save to close the window. You can also change the port used, and set your proxy settings (proxy user and proxy password only if needed - lastamarok support only basic authentication).
Finally, you can click play to listen to your radio. To tune to your neighbor radio, skip, ban or love a track, click right on the track in the playlist > lastamarok. This script has been tested with amaroK 1.3.8 and 1.4.
In the latest release of LastamaroK, users can add a second (or more) entry in the playlist for using the Amarok forward button. A history of recent played radio stations has also been added. Users can also use the new 'Record to profil' option. Furthermore, bugs like the 'menu entry which not appears' have been fixed.
Overall, LastamaroK is an excellent software for playing last.fm radios within amaroK, and it is effortless to use.
