LDapper X is an LDAP client software that specializes in locating email addresses. It streamlines the process of accessing and searching email accounts by integrating securely. It is ideal for organizations that rely on email communications.
Exporting email addresses into other applications or the MacOS X Address Book is a breeze, and browsing directories in a hierarchical manner is a piece of cake.
This release of LDapper addresses several bug fixes. For example, the "Clear List" option that wasn't set caused searches to fail with a "selector not recognized" error in the console. Additionally, although LDapper would select the first item in a list, you still had to click the list to copy or mailto, which was fixed in this release. Another bug fix was that the info text field of the browser window was editable, and cancelling the Options sheet didn't actually cancel.
In terms of changes and additions, LDapper now provides the option to see "friendly attributes" in the info field, and users can specify the format of copied addresses. LDapper also added tooltips to the search attribute popups, which display the "other" attribute when "Other" is selected. Another addition was the ability to export addresses directly to the Address Book with MacOS X 10.2 or later. As usual, there are some cosmetic tweaks included.
Overall, LDapper is a reliable software solution that can be a game-changer for those in need of an LDAP client to support their search for email addresses. It's easy to use and offers all of the features and functionalities needed to get the job done efficiently.
