Easily parse and visualize leaked data with Leaks software. Get insights from output data with visualizations in just a few clicks.
However, piecing together data manually from these tools is often tedious and time-consuming. Therefore, "Leaks" aims to make this task easier by offering a tool that combines the report from the leaks command line utility with object memory management event history, user interface, and data mining abilities, similar to those seen in Shark. While the project is still in development, the already-implemented functionality proves useful on its own.
Some of the key features offered by "Leaks" include:
- Opening leak reports from a file (via double-click if they have a ".leaks" file name suffix)
- Opening leak reports from the pasteboard or via the Leaks system service menu item
- Viewing a merged callstack for all leaks in the report
- Viewing the callstack as bottom-up or top-down
- Saving preferred window layout and settings
In the latest release, "Leaks" has fixed horizontal scrollbars in the callstack table views and synchronized selection between callstack table views. Additionally, the tool now comes with a User Guide and a Quick Start Guide.
Overall, "Leaks" provides a valuable resource for any Cocoa application developer looking to streamline their workflow and find memory leaks quickly and efficiently.
