License4J Auto License Generation and Activation Server is a web-based application designed to handle automatic processing of license generation and activation requests.
License4J License Manager GUI tool is embedded in this application and allows users to store their products, templates, and licenses in a defined database server. Users can choose a database server other than local embedded database, which enables license activation features and product auto license generation settings.
When an auto license generation request is sent to License4J Auto License Generation and Activation Server, it searches for the requested product and template to generate the license. Once all security checks are performed, it generates the license and sends it back as specified in auto license generation output settings for the product.
The License4J Runtime Library has an autoActivate method, which sends an activation request to a defined License4J Auto License Generation and Activation Server or Online.License4J system. From there, the requested license is searched for in the database, and if it is found and the activation limit allows it, the server sends back the activated license text or activation code.
If the same computer tries to activate the license for the second time, the activation server returns the same license that was previously activated if the hardware ID matches. Therefore, if the hardware ID does not change, any attempts at re-activation will always return the first activation.
Another impressive feature of this web application is its ability to run on load-balance or fail-over cluster environments, as it is a web application. In summary, for those who seek a third-party tool to automate license generation and activation, License4J Auto License Generation and Activation Server is an excellent pick.
